TALENT scouts moved swiftly to secure three Swan Christian College players to represent the State at this weekend’s national games in Sydney.
The lads, who play for Valley United Christian Football Club, gained selection to play for the under-14s because the under-12s were full.
Proud mum Julie Reynolds said her son Ethan, of Middle Swan and Noah Appleby, of Stoneville, aged 11, jumped for joy on hearing the news.
Evan Fawell (12), of Mundaring, completes the trio of talent.
“All three boys eat, live and breathe for soccer and will kick a ball at any opportunity,” said Mrs Reynolds.
“They had weeks of state selection on Saturday afternoons after playing for their teams in the mornings.” Mrs Reynolds said hours of after-school training and scratch matches paid off.
The lads also put their muscle into fundraising the trip by selling chocolates and washing cars.
