HBF Arena in Joondalup has had significant changes in the past 12 months.

As well as a new home for the Joondalup Wolves basketball club and new facilities for West Perth Football Club, long-time tenant Arena Joondalup Physiotherapy has also benefited.

Now situated within the football facilities, the clinic has welcomed its new 103sq m location.

Since opening in 1999, the clinic has been in a space that was originally designed as a storeroom on the side of the pool.

What began as a single physio clinic has now grown to a practice that employs seven physiotherapists and three receptionists, operating from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.

Principal physiotherapist and managing partner Gavin Kerruish joined Arena Joondalup Physiotherapy in 2002 and has overseen the growth in the business.

He said the clinic was “bursting at the seams” for years and the opportunities that came with the redevelopment were timely.

The new clinic has more than double the space of the old one and has four treatment rooms, toilets, kitchen and reception and waiting area.

One of the treatment rooms is also now home to Woodvale Podiatry, while the old clinic is being used for clinical pilates, with plans to re-design the old rooms to also offer pilates reformer classes.

Mr Kerruish said the new clinic would ensure Arena Joondalup Physiotherapy could continue to grow as well as providing shorter wait times for appointments.
