Formerly Little Muppets, The Learning Tree Edgewater centre has undergone a refit, including natural wooden home corners, mirrored tunnels, teepees and picnic benches, as well as sustainable gardens with fruit trees, vegetables, herbs and pet chickens.

The centre has also adopted a new school readiness program and is the first childcare centre to implement StoryPark – an online documentation program for children’s learning and development.

“StoryPark is accessible in your own home and is private to your family,” centre manager Lisa Jacob said.

The open day will run from 10am to 1pm and feature stalls from local businesses, a pet farm, bouncy castle, face painter and drama activities.
