Christmas food drive for families in need

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

FAMILIES are encouraged to help others in need by donating to an annual food drive for The Spiers Centre.

Belridge Chiropractic is collecting non-perishable food items to stock the Heathridge centre’s shelves around the busy Christmas period, as well as personal items, toys or cash donations.

“Many families who are in dire need during this time seek help from The Spiers Centre with feeding their families,” practice manager Tracey Hennessy said.

“We try to help the centre by keeping their shelves stocked over this time.

“We also collect small gifts for the children or cash and then do a big online shop before Christmas.”

Ms Hennessy said they had been running the drive for more than 10 years, with the “chiro community” always proving it is “a very caring one”.

Items can be dropped off at Belridge Chiropractic at Belridge Shopping Centre on Eddystone Avenue until December 14.
