THE Commonwealth Bank will again sponsor the Joondalup Business Association’s annual awards at the Joondalup Resort later this month.

JBA president Russell Poliwka said the association was pleased the North West Metro Small Business Awards had received the support of the bank for the past seven years.

Commonwealth Bank Joondalup branch manager Kelly Keane said the awards were tangible recognition of outstanding small businesses.

“Our involvement in the awards – and with the association – is indicative of our desire to provide support and a high level of service to the small business community in the Joondalup area,” she said.

JBA executive officer Kay Solanki said the awards were important to the local community as they celebrated business achievement, growth and local talent.

There were 12 award categories, including best retail business, entrepreneur of the year and people’s choice, which had attracted “a significant number of entries”.
