The Duncraig resident has done more than 1098 hours of service since she started working with the company in February 2017 and has been praised for the impact she made on the lives of clients.

“It is unusual for someone to make such a positive impact within such a short period of time, but Jan-Marie has made such a difference in our clients’ lives since early last year,” director Remo Pollastri said.

“Jan-Marie has been supportive and flexible to meet the ever changing client needs.

“She always has attention to detail, patience, respect and always works with kindness and compassion, the key to quality care giving.”

Originally from New Zealand, Mrs Donovan previously worked in high dependency aged care, supporting people who were legally blind with personal care and home care services.

Her dedication and compassion towards her co-workers and clients has served as an inspiration to her colleagues.

“It is a wonderful privilege to assist our seniors in continuing to live in their own home and community, with the support and tailored care that we at Home Instead Senior Care can provide to them,” she said.

“I am thrilled to be awarded as local caregiver of the year and look forward to continue enhancing the lives of seniors in Perth.”
