To celebrate its opening from 9am, customers can get a free bag of potatoes and there will be “exclusive opening bargains” on offer.

This will be the third Spudshed to open this year, bringing the number of stores to 13, with a 14th to open later this year in Thornlie.

“We opened a store in Butler in May and have been very happy with the support given to us from the local community,” Galati Group’s Garth Steinbach said.

“Now with the opening of Joondalup, we can continue to offer residents in the northern suburbs affordable fresh produce direct from our farms.

“In addition to an extensive fresh produce offer, Spudshed also has a full meat, dairy, frozen and grocery range.

“The Joondalup store will also include a bakery.”

The opening of the Joondalup and Butler stores has created more than 160 new jobs in the community.
