ELISE Hinkley has turned her hobby into a business to teach children stitching and craft.

The Greenwood resident started Hoop Hoop Hooray in May and ran her first school holiday workshops this month.

“I have young children, work in education and felt there was a real lack of this sort of workshop being offered and if they were, costing parents a small fortune,” she said.

“My workshops will run during school holidays, occasional weekends and for group bookings.

“In October I’m planning on offering four workshops and some workshops leading up to Christmas for seasonal crafts and gifts.”

The two-hour workshops cost about $30 per child, with a maximum of six children in each.
