ELEVEN local businesses were recognised as being at the top of their game at Friday night’s Joondalup Business Association awards.

Held at the West Perth Football Club’s function room with a capacity crowd, judges crowned winners in nine categories.

Taking out Business of the Year with more than 15 employees was MCS Security, while Quality Printers and Cartridges and Passing Paws Pet Cremations jointly won Business of the Year with fewer than 15 employees.

Also joint winners were Stallion Tiling and The Shortlister for Best Business Under Two Years.

Best Home-Based Business went to Time Critical CPR and First Aid, Best Trade Service to New Dimension Mechanical Services, Best Online Business to Compare Your Life and Best Innovation to WA Cleanskin Cellars.

Black Swan Health was recognised for Best Customer Service and the People’s Choice Award went to Sweet Artist Academy.

JBA president Max Wilson said the awards were the “culmination of a terrific year by the businesses represented”.

“They deserve all the accolades that come their way,” he said.

“The awards night is about celebrating achievements and sharing in the success of others.

“The Joondalup Business Association is about collaboration and co-operation and the feeling in the room at the awards reinforced that.”

The evening was hosted by Tony McManus and guests could also bid on paintings from local artist Phil Doncon.
