KIDS can learn the basics of ballet from as young as 18 months.

Twirling Tutus Preschool Ballet Studio will launch on July 14 with an open day.

The classes from the Samantha Jane School of Ballet in Joondalup have been designed for girls and boys aged 18 months to five years and invite children to learn the basic structure of a ballet class through exercises, dances and themes using a variety of props and music.

“I strongly believe it is at the preschool age where the core passion for ballet is created and the strength of lifelong technique begins,” director Samantha Corby said.

“We have gorgeous local teachers with strong qualifications in ballet, experience working with young children and a passion for children’s development.

“It is a really exciting school with ballet bunny mascots Bella and Baxter joining us for each class.”

Free trial classes will be held at the school from 9.30am to noon as part of the open day launch, as well as meet and greets and ballet performances.
