Kingsley’s Kelly Watson wins national human resources award

KINGSLEY resident Kelly Watson has won a national award recognising professionals’ excellence in human resources.

The 25-year-old human resources manager at St Ives received the Australian Human Resources Rising Star award in Sydney last month.

“I was surprised when announced as the winner,” she said.

“I feel overwhelmed by the support, encouragement and congratulations I have had.”

Ms Watson, who has nearly finished a master’s degree in human resource management, was one of eight finalists for the national prize.

“To be in Sydney for the awards and celebrate the achievements and passion of the industry at the forefront of Australian business was a privilege,” she said.

“My focus is to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

“That is the kind of leader I aspire to be.”
