CURRAMBINE venue Oscars Restaurant is getting behind the current bushfire relief campaigns.
Director Mario Mansour said the business had come up with an idea where all profits would go to help “firefighters, wildlife and everyone who has been displaced and affected by the current tragic fires” ripping through the eastern states.
“What is currently happening in our home country is well and truly devastating and as part of the community, we will be doing our part to assist as much as we can,” he said.
The restaurant has launched The Ultimate Oscars Experience that entitles purchasers to a five course meal paired with premium wines, with all profits to be donated.
Vouchers cost $159 for two people and $315 for four.
They are also collecting donations from customers at the counter, which Mr Mansour will match.
“I am lucky enough to live here and enjoy the luxury and high standard of living Australia offers, so this is a way of giving back and being thankful,” he said.
“Everyone around the world is assisting so you’d expect the ones living in the country to do their part as well
“My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by this horrible tragedy.”
