National Association of Women in Construction awards: be bold, nominate yourself, says winner

Laura PondJoondalup Times

EDGEWATER resident Nadja Kampfhenkel is encouraging women to enter this year’s National Association of Women in Construction awards.

The Lendlease sustainability manager was a recipient at the 2016 awards and said she had been encouraged to nominate.

“I was very hesitant at first, as I’m not normally one to brag about my achievements,” she said.

“I wouldn’t have thought in my wildest dreams that I would have been in the finals, let alone been be selected as a winner in my category.

“There are so many fantastic women in the industry who are achieving great things and need a bit of encouragement to nominate themselves for the award, so I encourage them to take the plunge and enter this year’s awards.”

Nominations can be made at www.nawic.com.au by October 6.
