One Iluka Beach bringing apartment living to existing residents

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

A RECENTLY approved $6 million apartment project in Iluka will officially launch on June 8.

Now dubbed One Iluka Beach, the three-storey, 24-unit development was approved for the corner of Mykonos View and Burns Beach Road last month.

Helm Living director Brad Kelly believed the apartments were a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” saying this could be the only time high quality luxury apartments would be available in the beachside suburb.

“Since the project was approved, there has been overwhelming interest in the project with people very keen on buying a freehold title apartment in what seems to be their only choice in the sought after suburb of Iluka,” he said.

Mr Kelly said in the first three weeks following approval they had received more than 50 inquiries from existing Iluka and nearby residents, of which 85 per cent were downsizers and 15 per cent young professionals.

“The have all had a common goal of wanting to enhance their lifestyle through apartment living while staying in the area they know and love,” he said.

He also said that so far, 100 per cent of prospective buyers were already Iluka residents, with one founding Iluka resident considering their fourth home in the suburb at One Iluka Beach.

The development will offer three one-bedroom, 14 two-bedroom and seven three-bedroom units.

Designed by architects DMG Australia for owner-occupiers, all apartments will utilise cross-ventilation to keep living costs down, high ceilings and large balconies for entertaining.

A limited number of top floor apartments will also have ocean views.

Apartments will be priced from $440,000 for a one-bedroom, $570,000 for a two-bedroom and $720,000 for a three-bedroom unit, and will have low strata levies.
