Share the Dignity drive to collect hygiene products for women in need this August

HEALTH fund HCF is supporting the bi-annual Share the Dignity drive in August to provide personal hygiene products to women and girls experiencing poverty or homelessness.

Joondalup branch manager Jodie Timms said access to sanitary items should be a right not a privilege.

“Share the Dignity is about helping people who are in real need,” the Ridgewood resident said.

“Homelessness and family violence are big challenges for our community and people can make a real difference close to home with small acts of kindness.

“We are delighted to support this campaign by providing our business as collection points for donated pads, tampons and personal hygiene products. Just look for the pink collection boxes.”

Seastarz Swim School in Joondalup is also taking part in the drive along with Joondalup MLA Emily Hamilton with her office also a drop-off point.

The biannual collection drive takes place in April and August, with donations distributed to registered charities in May and September.
