Author Richard Offen brings Lost Perth to Joondalup Library

TAKE a trip down memory lane with Richard Offen at Joondalup Library next week.

The Lost Perth author will talk to guests about his book from 6pm on Tuesday, October 30.

The discovery of gold provided the finances to transform Perth from a modest country town to a prosperous commercial city with great civic buildings to match.

But along the way, and in the rush for growth, many grand old buildings and Perth institutions have been swept aside.
