Over the past 10 years, British India has had eight entries into the triple j Hottest 100, released six albums, received multiple ARIA nominations, played every major festival in Australia and headlined more than 700 shows.

“British India is something we started as snotty-nosed high school kids that became something much bigger and more important to people than we could have ever expected,” Wilson said.

“The three lads in the band were the three best men at my wedding and the three best men to play a part in my life.

“I was lucky to share the stage at first playing to nobody and then playing to thousands.

“And I was lucky to live out the dream a 12-year-old version of myself pined for daily: to play music to people who cared.

“But time moves on and I have other things I want to try my hand at and I am ready to see what else I can do.”

British India will play The Northshore Tavern in Hillarys on November 8, Amplifier in Perth on November 10, Newport Hotel in Fremantle on November 11, Stirling Arms Hotel in Guildford on November 16 and Indi Bar in Scarborough on November 18 as part of Nic Wilson’s Last Tour 2018.
