“I’ve been a member for over two years and I still can’t read music,” lead section singer Lou Patchitt said.

“I get by using the audio tracks and with the genuine support from those who can read music.”

She said described singing as “life changing” in terms of learning new skills, setting new challenges and increasing serotonin levels.

“Learning new skills also improves our memory and we all like feeling good and having improved cognitive function,” she said.

The course will be held each Tuesday evening, from February 12 to March 19 at the Bramston Park Community Centre in Burns Beach.

Cost is $70. Register at www.indianbluechorus.info or email ibcmembership@iinet.net.au.
