THE City of Joondalup has been selected as the only stop in WA for the national Artbank Roadshow.
The roadshow provides exposure opportunities for unrepresented professional artists and the chance for their work to be acquired for the federal Artbank Collection.
Mayor Albert Jacob said the City was proud to be chosen as a co-presenting partner for the national event.
“This will give unrepresented professional artists a valuable opportunity to have their work considered for acquisition and help boost their profile in the arts world,” he said.
“Artbank travels to each state to interview artists who aren’t represented by a gallery or art dealer.”
Federal curator Oliver Watts and the roadshow team will visit Joondalup Art Gallery on May 8 to meet artists and consider their work for acquisition.
