WA artists are encouraged to present works for the City of Joondalup’s art collection in the 2020-21 financial year.
The City is looking to commission a work that meets set themes and is completed within the timeline and allocated budget of $15,000.
Mayor Albert Jacob said the themes touched on the social, urban or natural environments within the City.

READ NOW“Artists are urged to respond to one or more of the themes and to consider how it relates to their overall artistic practice and interests,” he said.
Artists are also urged to apply for the City’s rebranded acquisitive art prize, the City of Joondalup Invitation Art Prize, previously known as the Community Invitation Art Award.
One invited WA artist will receive a $25,000 prize.
In addition, an artist will be commissioned to produce artwork for the City’s Inside-Out Billboard on the Joondalup Library.
Expressions of interest will be accepted between April 1 and 30 via the City’s website.
