Featuring Greenwood artist Kane Batka, Shaun Arnup, of Watermans Bay, Carine’s Kieran Nevin and Angus Hawkes and Sean Hogan, of Cottesloe, the band started gaining attention in the Perth scene with their eclectic mix of Australian style indie/grunge filled with hypnotic effect-filled melodies.
With driving bass and hard-hitting drums mixed with skilful guitars and overtones of synth, the band aims to create a new sound to call their own.
Goodnight Moon was selected to perform at the inaugural festival after winning the Battle of the Bands competition where 60 local groups were vying for five spots at the festival.
They will perform at McCallum Park, which will be turned into Perth’s largest artificial beach on April 9.
Other artists on the bill include Kingswood, Thundamentals, Mosquito Coast, Abbe May and Shannon Noll..
