NOW in its 33rd year, the Annual Art Exhibition is a highlight on the social and cultural calendar of St Mark’s Anglican Community School.

The event, which this year runs from October 5 to 7, brings together professional and amateur artists to showcase WA talent across a variety of mediums.

This year’s feature artist is Stacey Garner who is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist.

“Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed the creative aspect of any project or job that I’ve worked on,” she said.

“I love being able lose myself in something that I’m passionate about.

“I’ve experimented with a number of different mediums but was immediately drawn to alcohol inks because of the way they interact with one another and how no two pieces are ever the same.”

The exhibition will open with a ticketed event at 6.30pm on Friday, October 5 with live music, food and wine, raffles and prizes, and the opportunity to buy artworks from the catalogue ahead of the open days on October 6 and 7.

This will include works from Garner and other established artists, with paintings, pottery, sculpture, jewellery and more.

Tickets to opening night are at www.trybooking.com/VYJZ.

It is then open to the public from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and 10am to 3pm on the Sunday for a gold coin donation.
