Hillarys: Music of Bon Jovi and Billy Idol to rock The Northshore Tavern

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

TWO tribute bands will bring back the hits of Bon Jovi and Billy Idol at The Northshore Tavern in Hillarys this month.

The July 28 event will feature Slippery When Wet: Bon Jovi Tribute with an opening set by Rebel Yell, the Billy Idol Tribute.

Andrew Di Stefano, the lead guitarist and backing vocals for both bands, said this was only the second show for Rebel Yell but it had been almost a year since Slippery When Wet’s sold-out show at The Northshore Tavern.

“The show always changes from song lists to line-ups to production,” he said. “Performing on stage to a crowd who is very passionate about the music is the best thing for me.”

The Perth resident said it was always a challenge to do the songs justice.

“When you are paying homage to a band, especially those who have had long standing careers with hits spanning decades over different generations, people are expecting quality,” he said. “We put a lot of hard work into our show with the finest attention to detail.”
