FROM a headline Las Vegas residency to the fairways of Joondalup, Human Nature has been announced as the act for the 2020 Valentine’s Concert.
The Aussie music icons, who are about to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, and their all-star backing band will bring their Motown and More show to Joondalup Resort on Thursday, February 13.
Fans to the City of Joondalup concert can expect classic songs of Motown, pop and soul including Baby I Need Your Lovin’, Dancing in the Street, Uptight and Runaround Sue as well as some of their own favourite hits.
Since signing to Sony Music Australia more than two decades ago, Human Nature has earned its place as one of the world’s finest pop-vocal groups of the modern era, releasing 13 studio albums, four of which went to number one in Australia, and garnering 26 platinum awards, 15 top 20 singles and five top 10 hits worldwide.
Earlier this year band members Andrew Tierney, Mike Tierney, Phil Burton and Toby Allen were awarded Medals of the Order of Australia for their service to the performing arts and entertainment industry.
“We are so excited to be sharing Valentine’s Day in Perth and performing in Joondalup,” the band said.
“We have heard amazing things about the concert event and can’t wait to bring our show and loads of love to our Perth audiences in February 2020.”
City of Joondalup residents and ratepayers will get first opportunity to buy tickets in a pre-sale from Thursday, November 14, and at a discounted cost of $25, or $20 with a concession card.
Tickets will then go on sale to the general public from Monday, December 2 for $35.
All sales will be via online ticketing agent Ticketbooth.
Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob said it was an honour to have global band Human Nature performing at the Valentine’s Concert.
“Over the past 30 years Human Nature has grown from one of Australia’s most popular acts to a worldwide sensation thrilling audiences with their Motown hits and countless songs from their own catalogue,” he said.

“This concert has been running since 2005 and has long been one of the most popular events which the City stages, and the musical acts continue to grow in stature.”
