YOUNG musicians in a northern suburbs band Rock Frogs will be among 7500 children taking part in One Big Voice this month.

Primary school students Luka Babich (10) and Kaden Griffin (10) started as a duo in 2017, on vocals and guitar respectively.

They then recruited Dion Calcei (10) as their drummer and his older brother Luca (13) as second guitarist.

Since their first big gig at Perth Arena in One Big Voice last August, the band has performed several times, including at a Murdoch university open day, a school disco and fundraising events.

Earlier this month they performed in Catholic Arts’ Performing Arts Festival at Perth Concert Hall.

On August 30, they will join in Australia’s largest children’s choir for the mass singing event at RAC Arena, where more than 25 of the 135 schools participating are in the Wanneroo and Joondalup area.

Many of the songs are written and arranged by One Big Voice director Donna Marwick-O’Brien.
