WILLIAM Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of his most popular works and performed all around the world.
The comedic love story of marriage and fairies in the forest will get a modern makeover for St Stephen’s School Duncraig’s upper-school theatrical production.
“Our upcoming production will be a moveable feast taking audiences on a journey from our theatre to out under the trees, with musical treats and creative gypsies,” director Daniel Ramsay said.

“It is a story celebrating all peoples – those who have a place and those without a place – where the strands, storylines and relationships come together like an elaborate dance perfected by the sounds of a raucous brass rhythm,” Ramsay said.
School principal Donella Beare praised Ramsay’s creative vision for the project.
“Ramsay is such a creative person and the students love getting involved in his theatrical visions,” she said.
“The cast has been working really hard to bring something different to a story that has been told for so long.
“We invite all Shakespeare fans to join us under the stars as our students embrace his peculiar world.”
The performance will take to the stage at 7pm on April 3 and 4.
