Woodvale musical goes Back to the ’80s

WOODVALE Secondary College drama and music students are preparing to stage their upcoming production of the musical Back to the ‘80s.

“This production is a pop culture trip down memory lane, and tells the story of Corey Palmer and his senior year of high school: his best friends, the class bully, and the girl he loves,” head of arts Ruth MacDonald said..

Back to the ‘80s is a non-stop collection of music, movie, and TV Easter Eggs for all ages.

“The jukebox score includes a wide variety of popular hits such as ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’, ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’, ‘Love Shack’,

‘Footloose’, and ‘The Time of My Life’.

“The show starts at 7pm and should be a great nostalgic trip for all people who grew up in or just loved the ‘80s.”

The show runs over three nights at the college from August 7 to 9, starting 7pm.

Ticket prices start at $10 and are available at the school office or at the door on the evening.
