81-year-old woman involved in Kingsley crash dies

AN 81-year-old woman involved in a crash in Kinglsey on Boxing Day has died.

She was driving a black Hyundai Getz just prior to the Whitfords Avenue off ramp when she was hit from behind by a black Toyota Aurion about 3.25pm.

The woman, from Cloverdale, received critical injuries and was taken to Joondalup Health Campus.

She passed away on Wednesday afternoon.

A 35-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Toyota Aurion received serious injuries and was also taken to Joondalup Health Campus.

The 36-year-old male driver of the Toyota received minor injuries.

Major Crash investigators have spoken to the driver of a stationery car towing a boat in the centre emergency lane, but would still like to speak to the driver of a beige coloured car that travelled between the two crashed vehicles just prior to the crash.
