BEAUMARIS Primary School students can play all year round with the installation of a shade structure.

The P&C was one of five in the area to receive a grant of $40,000 through the State Government’s Local Projects, Local Jobs initiative to provide upgrades for local students.

The shade structure over the Years 4, 5 and 6 playground has been welcomed by the school community.

“I have noticed there are more students playing on the playground now that it is shaded from the sun,” principal Jo Stephens said.

Joondalup MLA Emily Hamilton said this year would see more of the area’s school infrastructure projects start to come to fruition.
