Perth bar glassing: police raid Beldon home, charge man

POLICE have raided a Beldon home to arrest a man who allegedly glassed a patron on the dance floor of a Perth bar in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Officers accused the 28-year-old alleged offender of seriously wounding the man’s head and neck after striking him with a glass between 1am and 1.30am at a Murray Street premises.

Investigations led police to a Beldon home later that day.

The victim, who has since been released from hospital, required 48 stitches.

The alleged attacker is due to face Perth Magistrates Court on August 22.

Police would not specify which bar it was.
