ABOUT 30,000 people are expected in Joondalup this Sunday for the Listen Out music festival.
Road closures will be in place on September 29 on Joondalup Drive between Shenton Avenue and Moore Drive from noon to 11pm to ensure concert-goers can safely enter and exit HBF Arena.
Joondalup police senior sergeant Rob Clayton urged people to be safe when travelling between the venue and Joondalup train station.
He said extra patrols would be put on to “deal with any disorderly situations” and urged all visitors to be “mindful of not causing disturbances outside” HBF Arena, with police also patrolling inside the venue.
Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob said the City would have environmental health officers on site, as well as independent acoustic consultants engaged by the event organiser, to “ensure stipulated noise levels are met”.
A ‘noise hotline’ will also be available to local residents on the day: 9300 3355.
Listen Out artists include Flume, Diplo, Schoolboy Q, 6lack, Wafia, Cosmo’s Midnight and Denzel Curry.
