AN anti-bullying organisation created by a Burns Beach girl will hold a masquerade fundraising cocktail party this month.

Sian Williams (8) and her mother Azelene started Kidzucate in 2014 to run educational programs and address bullying and other issues faced by children.

“Sian was a victim of bullying because of her stutter,” Mrs Williams said.

“Instead of allowing it to consume her, she bravely decided to seek a proactive solution to the wider problem of bullying.

“Our mission is to empower young people with the knowledge and awareness to identify child and youth-related issues and take appropriate action towards their own and other children’s safety and wellbeing.”

The not-for-profit group will hold a fundraiser with entertainment, speeches, an auction and raffle at Joondalup Resort in Connolly from 6pm on October 30.

Tickets can be bought here and include a welcome drink and snacks.
