Butler: burglary charges laid against 29-year-old man

A BUTLER man (29) has been charged with an array of burglaries after police found him in a car allegedly carrying stolen goods, weapons and drugs.

Officers detained the accused on January 19 in Yanchep, where he was allegedly found with MDMA, methamphetamine and a 45cm sword.

Further investigations led police to charge him over a burglary spree in coastal suburbs last month.

Investigators allege he targeted homes in Marmion and Watermans Bay between January 12 and 15.

He was allegedly found with scuba equipment stolen from Marmion when police found him.

He was further accused of using a stolen debit card to buy more than $200 worth of goods from Lakeside Joondalup.

Police charged him with four fraud offences in relation to the debit card.

He was further charged with burglary and criminal damage in relation to a Watermans Bay property. Officers also laid drugs and weapons charges.

Inquiries are continuing.
