Plans are progressing for the project after Joondalup councillors at last month’s meeting endorsed a concept plan for the two-storey development.
The City has worked with White Salt representatives in recent months to incorporate a second storey to optimise ocean views.
The concept design includes recycled sea containers over two levels to create a connection between the building and the ocean, minimise the carbon footprint and maximise views.
The development will feature an upper level tapas lounge with an outdoor decking area, while the ground floor will have indoor and alfresco dining areas, a kiosk and space suitable for functions.
