CALLS to redevelop Heathridge Park are continuing.

Joondalup MLA Emily Hamilton said the facilities at the Sail Terrace park were some of the oldest in the City of Joondalup and she would “continue to collaborate with the community and all levels of government”.

She said not only would upgrades enable the significant number of local sporting clubs, community groups and residents who use Heathridge Leisure Centre and the clubrooms to thrive, but it would also create better amenities and green spaces for general recreation and drive local jobs.

Heathridge Park is home to Ocean Reef Junior Football Club, Ocean Ridge Amateur Football, Senior and Junior Cricket and Tennis clubs, Djinda Falcons Football Club, GI Joe personal trainer and 25 other groups.

Having been contacted by some groups already, Ms Hamilton is calling on residents in the area to share their opinions on a redevelopment.

“I encourage local residents and members of sporting or community groups to let me know how you currently use the area and what you would like to see there,” she said.

Suggestions can be lodged via an online survey at bit.ly/heathridgepark or by calling 9300 3990.
