Christmas Lunch Brings Community Together

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

Organised by local church and community groups, attendees were treated to a meal, carol singing and entertainment, as well as the opportunity to make new friends.

“We were blessed with a beautiful day, great food, excellent entertainment and a stunning location,” organiser Jeff Fullelove said.

Made possible by the more than 100 volunteers who also attended, the free annual event makes sure everyone in the community can share a Christmas meal in the company of others.

“For eight years the Joondalup Christmas Lunch has been bringing isolated members of our community together to share in the spirit of this very special day,” Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said.

“Congratulations to everyone involved in organising another successful lunch.

“A big thank you must also go to the many volunteers who gave up their own time with family and friends to spread some Christmas cheer.”
