Charges over Warwick Grove trolley assault in Perth’s north

Police allege the 25-year-old man and a woman, who was also charged, attempted to steal a shopping trolley of items from a supermarket on March 26.

They said the man assaulted a staff member before becoming violent with a security guard when questioned about the trolley full of goods.

Police took the accused to Joondalup Police Station, where he continued to act violently and was charged over the behaviour.

The man was also charged with aggravated armed robbery, as was the woman.
