Charity row-athon to fight women cancers

She is hosting a ‘row-athon’ at Tailored Fitness on March 19 to raise money for The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers.

Ms Nielsen will row on and off with her daughter, a friend and her children for a combined hour.

She encouraged other people to sign up for a minimum 10-minute slot and get friends and family to sponsor them.

“Every 10 minutes count, every dollar for charity counts,” she said.

“Families can come along and support each other by taking turns on the two rowers.

“The important thing is to keep the rower going for 12 hours.”

The rowing challenge will run from 6am to 6pm, ending with a sausage sizzle to celebrate.
