Citizen’��s Arrest Made for Padbury Deli Hold Up

A MEMBER of the public apprehended an alleged armed offender after they held up a deli in Padbury yesterday afternoon.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives charged a man after following the armed robbery incident.

Around 4:10pm, a man entered the deli on Forrest Road and while he was being served police allege he produced a knife and demanded cash.

The staff member complied with the demand and the man left the store.

Police claim the offender was apprehended by a member of the public who took the alleged offender back to the store where he was arrested by attending police officers.

He was taken to Joondalup Police Station and interviewed by detectives.

An 18-year-old man from Padbury has been charged with armed robbery. He was refused bail and is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court this morning.
