CITY of Joondalup chief executive Garry Hunt has been offered a three-year extension on his employment contract.

Joondalup councillors at the September 20 meeting went behind closed doors to receive a report on Mr Hunt’s annual performance review.

They unanimously voted to adopt the report, rating Mr Hunt’s annual performance as “meets expectations and to a high standard”.

But the vote to offer Mr Hunt a contract extension to December 20, 2019 under the same terms and conditions as the current contract was not unanimous.
