City of Joondalup hosting two e-waste recycling events

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

CITY of Joondalup is hosting two recycling events this month.

This weekend, residents can drop off their electronic waste at Craigie Leisure Centre between 9am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

This includes computer and gaming equipment, mobile phones, digital cameras, televisions and DVD players.

However, it does not include whitegoods, vacuum cleaners, microwaves, kitchen appliances, hair dryers, non-computer batteries, fluorescent lighting tubes or hazardous waste.

On February 18, the City will also hold its charity clothing and textiles drop-off event.

Residents can take their unwanted clothing, bedding, towels and other fabrics to the Joondalup administration building or Craigie Leisure Centre between 9am and 2pm.

Both events are free and allow items to be recycled or reused rather than ending up in landfill.
