The City of Joondalup annual free event is designed to help dog owners get to know each other and their community and encourage all pet owners to be responsible with their animals.

It will include presentations on animal behaviour, training, agility, obedience, dog ownership and responsibilities.

Competitions such as most obedient dog, best dressed dog or waggiest tail will also be held and there will be stalls on dog grooming and microchip testing as well.

North 2 South Vet Care will provide free microchipping to the first 50 City of Joondalup residents.

The City’s rangers will be on hand to answer questions.

The event will be held at Lexcen Park in Ocean Reef from 9am to 1pm.

Dogs must be on leads at all times.
