CITY of Joondalup has been recognised for its commitment to excellence against all aspects of the organisation.

The City received a bronze award in the Australian Organisational Excellence Awards, run by the not-for-profit Australian Organisational Excellence Foundation.

Awards are given to organisations that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in leadership, strategy and planning, customer and stakeholder service and engagement, ethical behaviour, environmental responsibility and continued high levels of performance.

Joondalup chief executive Garry Hunt said the award was recognition of the efforts of every employee.

“We can all be incredibly proud of what the City has achieved as the evaluation process for these awards was exceptionally rigorous,” he said.

“This success shows that from an external point of view we have very sound business principles which have been independently assessed by experts in business excellence.

“This gives me confidence that the City is working hard for the community to deliver excellent services and facilities for its community and all stakeholders.”
