City of Joondalup seeks feedback on Duncraig and Kallaroo apartment proposals

THE City of Joondalup is seeking feedback on two proposals for apartments on neighbouring lots in Duncraig.

Community consultation has opened for applications for five multiple dwellings each at 537 and 539 Beach Road.

The two-storey developments also include 10 residential parking bays.

For both proposals, the applicant is seeking discretion for increased plot ratio and filling of land between the street and building to the proposed courtyards and reduced boundary setbacks, open space and landscaping.

The application for 537 Beach Road also seeks discretion for boundary wall length and 539 seeks a reduced visual privacy setback.

Six units proposed for Kallaroo

THE City of Joondalup is seeking feedback on a proposal for six units in Kallaroo.

In June, the City received an application for the two-storey development at 4 Cromer Grove but the City failed to assess it in time.

The applicant then applied to the State Administrative Tribunal to determine the application, with amended plans sent to the City.

The plans are now being advertised for consultation.

The applicant is seeking discretion in the areas of plot ratio, building height, boundary setbacks, open space, site works, retaining walls and verge trees.
