THE City of Joondalup will receive Federal funding of $60,000 to be spent across five projects.

The funds, as part of round 4 of the Stronger Communities Program, will contribute to upgrades of the Emerald Park Community Facility in Edgewater, Windermere Park in Joondalup, Mirror Park in Ocean Reef, Sorrento Bowling Club and the Woodvale Library.

Moore MHR Ian Goodenough said the program was designed to help fund projects that delivered a social benefit with the aim of strengthening local communities.

“Having high quality facilities available for locals to use encourages greater community participation,” he said.
