College turns yellow for Daffodil Day

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

FOR the past 20 years, Sacred Heart College has been supporting people affected by cancer by fundraising for Daffodil Day.

Each year the Sorrento students use yellow balloons and umbrellas to help sell daffodils, with many parents buying bunches of the flowers before school.

The school also organises a bake sale during recess, with students providing the treats, and staff members host a yellow-themed morning tea and raffle.

Cancer Council WA’s Daffodil Day Appeal is held in August, culminating in Daffodil Day on Friday, August 23.
