Comanchero bikie and associate charged with assault

A COMANCHERO bikie and an associate of the gang have been charged with assault after an incident in Joondalup earlier this month.

The alleged assault occurred at a licensed venue along McLarty Avenue on May 11.

Police allege that at about 11.55pm the two men, one a senior member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang and the other an associate of the gang, assaulted two men in their twenties.

The first victim suffered cuts and bleeding and the second victim suffered a fractured shoulder blade.

Both men were treated at Joondalup Health Campus.

On Monday May 13, detectives from the National Anti-Gang Strike Team and WA Police Gang Response Team executed a search warrant at an address in Portwood Cross, Joondalup and two men were arrested and charged.

A 27-year-old from Joondalup, a senior member of Comanchero OMCG, has been charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

A 26-year-old from Joondalup has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The men first appeared in court on May 14 and were refused bail.

They are next due to appear at Joondalup Magistrates Court on May 29.
