TEENAGERS got to meet health advocates at an expo at Ocean Reef Senior High School this month.
Community health nurse Jen McKenzie said the school held a health expo every other year, with a variety of health service providers at the September 11 event.
“Examples to name but a few include Headspace, Young Carers, Don’t Drink and Drown, City of Joondalup, Joondalup Police, mental health agencies, sexual health agencies and healthy eating agencies,” she said.
“The school holds the event to promote health and wellbeing for students and gives them the opportunity to engage with agencies.”
“All the students will have a health passport which they will use to visit the agencies and ask them questions.”
Mrs McKenzie said parents were also welcome to attend the expo.
