CRAIGIE resident Devetta Ridgwell will bring out her maternal instinct when she appears in a new realistic horror experience next month.

Presented by Dark Psychic Productions, Confession will leave the audience questioning what lengths they would go to for survival.

The 45-minute story uses light, sound, visuals, smell and feel to show what it would be like to live with a secret in a post-apocalyptic world.

Confession is exactly that, a confession, and you wonder what it is through the whole play,” criminology and psychology student Ridgwell said.

“Audiences can expect to experience the suspense of Alfred Hitchcock combined with the interaction of a 3D movie. Hopefully audiences will hold their breath a little waiting to see what happens next.”

Ridgwell plays the anti-hero’s mother in the story.

“She’s the perfect mother in that she’s a brilliant cook, a doting loyal parent and loves to get along with everyone,” she said.

“To see her be affected by the decline of the world is sad.”

Confession plays at Phoenix Theatre in Hamilton Hill at 8pm on June 2, 3, 8-10.

Tickets are $15 at www.darkpsychicproductions.com or on 0422 394 749. Program sales will go to Skyira Giftware to support the education of underprivileged children in India.
