CHILDREN at Connolly Primary are looking forward to the school’s first carols by candlelight event tonight.

Music specialist Leonie Carville said the school had a “dynamic” performing arts program and the event was supported by the Connolly Residents Association.

“We are proud of the community events that are staged each year either as a musical production or an arts festival,” she said.

“This year we are doing a Carols by Candlelight and engaging not only the school community but the wider community of Connolly.

“The production will highlight a nativity story staged by the early childhood education classes.

“There will be a display of dance and performances by the school choir and band.

“The evening will conclude with a carol sing along lead by Sarah Beard, a Connolly parent.”

The carols event will be on the school oval from 6pm to 8pm on December 1.
